At the Climate Strike
I made the decision last week to close the office on Friday and participate in the Global Climate Strike. I'm really glad we did it. It was wonderful to be at the event with so many young people standing up for their future - a future put in jeopardy by generations of myopic thinking. They will inherit a challenge unlike any that humans have experienced in history. Based on what I've seen, I think they're up to the challenge!
The team wore our B Local Asheville shirts and we had several folks come up and ask what "Join the Movement" meant. We were proud to explain what a B Corporation is and how important responsible business is to the future. It was also great to see Steve Linton, President of Deltec Homes (another Asheville B Corp) show up with his wife Linnea!
